Coupage.

25% Cabernet Sauvignon- 60% Tempranillo- 15% Garnacha.


Elaboration.

Once the grapes have been ground and destemmed, the grape juice is taken to stainless steel tanks together with the grape skins, where the fermentation process will take place during 18- 20 days. The wine is aged in American oak barrels of 225 litres for a period of 24 months, being later on bottled and stored in the dark for one more year before being relased.

Colour

MARQUES DE BADAJOZ Red is a bright raspberry red wine with light bright shades.


Nose

The primary aromas of red fruits typical of the Tempranillo variety are evident, as well as the green pepper of the Cabernet.


Taste

These primary aromas develop towards the vanilla of the oak barrels, anisette, tobacco, leather and milk. Very rounded wine, extremely long in mouth. It can still be conserved during 4- 5 days.


Recomendations:

MARQUES DE BADAJOZ Red perfectly accompanies meats ( veal, ox, pork) as well as cured goat and sheep, Roquefort and blue cheeses. Excellent with pork products: ham, purloin and different kinds of sausages.


Recommended service temperature:

17º - 18º C.
